Managing your account

The steps needed to migrate or delete your account permanently from Budibase.

Whether you have a cloud or self-hosted account, you will need to log-in to the online account portal to upgrade or close your account.

Migrate between environments

If you are a customer, please contact [email protected] and we will assist with the environment migration.

We will need to migrate your account on the backend to ensure you are not double charged.

You can only have one email address per Budibase account. If you wish to migrate from self-hosted to cloud, or vice-versa, you will need to delete your account first as outlined in the sections below.

Once your account has been deleted, you can then create a brand new account. If you want a self-hosted account make sure to click I want to self-host, otherwise click Continue for a cloud account.

Before doing the migration, make sure you do any necessary Backups πŸ”’ or App exports.


Cloud account deletion

Make sure you are the owner of the cloud account, if you are not you won't be able to delete the account.

  1. Login to the cloud account you wish to delete.
  2. Click the Account navigation item at the top of your page.
  3. Click the Upgrade button. This should redirect you to your plans available.
  4. Click the navigation item Account within the navigation bar.
  5. Click the Deleted Account button which is red and go through the confirmation window. (Your account will successfully be deleted. This is permanent and irreversible.)

Self-host account deletion

  1. Log-in to the account portal online with your self-hosted account email address.
  2. Click the Account navigation item in your navigation bar.
  3. Click the Deleted Account button which is red and go through the confirmation window. (Your account will successfully be deleted. This is permanent and irreversible.)
